The executive director of Amnesty International Senegal welcomed the indictment of Jérôme Bandiaky, alias “Sniper,” while asserting that a single indictment cannot close this sensitive case that has been shaking public opinion since 2022.
“One person has been indicted, but he cannot act alone. The justice system must continue its investigations if it wants the Senegalese people to have confidence in it… All those who ordered this must be arrested,” Seydi Gassama declared in this video from Buurnews, shared by Senego, to the participants who had come to demand “the truth” about the disappearance and presumed death of the two officers.
