The debate surrounding the report on the management of the Economic, Social and Environmental Council (CESE) continues to generate reactions within the political class. In a Facebook post shared by Senego, Fadilou Keita, a member of PASTEF and Director General of the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations (CDC), asserted that the document implicates both the former president of the CESE, Mimi Touré, and her predecessor, Idrissa Seck.

According to him, the responsibilities identified in this report—which was already approved at the time by former President Macky Sall—must now be addressed within the framework of the existing institutional and judicial mechanisms. “The report on the management of the CESE implicates both Mimi Touré and Idrissa Seck,” Fadilou Keita emphasized.

The former Minister of Justice, who led the sensitive Hissène Habré and Karim Wade cases, is, according to Keita, obligated to “face justice with dignity.” He believes that implementing the report’s recommendations now falls to Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko, and that those implicated will have to answer for their actions “willingly or by force.”

The PASTEF leader also launched a political barb aimed at critics of the ruling party: “To fight alongside patriots, you must have clean hands,” he declared.
