The city of Kaolack has been hosting a training workshop for Solidarity Productive Cooperatives (CPS) since Monday, which will run until November 19, 2025. The event is organized by the Microfinance Promotion Fund (FIMF), in collaboration with the Directorate of Strategies and Foresight (DSP) and the Directorate for the Promotion of the Social and Solidarity Economy.
In her opening address, Ms. Ndela Diouf, Director of the FIMF, emphasized the importance of this workshop for strengthening the financial inclusion of CPS and consolidating their links with microfinance institutions. She noted that CPS, created by the Ministry of Microfinance and the Social and Solidarity Economy, are essential drivers of the national social and solidarity economy policy, which aims in particular to promote local production and reduce territorial inequalities.
