Entrepreneur Aïcha Rassoul, wife of businessman Aziz Ndiaye, recently spoke about the business difficulties her boutique is facing. In a video, she expressed her disappointment at the lack of customers for her shop, located in her hometown of Thiès.
According to reports from our colleagues at Kawtef, Aïcha Rassoul explained that she deliberately chose to invest in the railway capital. “I chose to invest in Thiès because I was born and raised here. I’ve also been successful here, so I thought it was only natural to open my baby store here,” she stated. She thus justified her attachment to this location as the reason for launching her entrepreneurial project.
However, the businesswoman found that the return on her investment was not what she had anticipated. She made a direct appeal to the city’s residents, highlighting their preference for other types of businesses. “People from Thiès are skipping me to go to the secondhand shops. I’m not saying this to put you down, but please come and shop here,” she shared, expressing her dismay at the situation.
