The Finance and Budget Control Committee, expanded to include the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Senegalese Abroad, and African Integration, adopted the 2026 draft budget for the Ministry of African Integration, Foreign Affairs, and Senegalese Abroad on Friday, November 14. The allocated budget amounts to 64.9 billion CFA francs, representing 1% of the State’s overall budget, estimated at 7,177 billion CFA francs.
According to the breakdown presented to the committee members, bilateral and multilateral cooperation remains the largest expenditure item, at 39.5 billion CFA francs, or 61% of the budget. Administrative management and oversight will account for 11.2 billion CFA francs, representing 17% of the allocated resources.
The promotion of African integration will receive an allocation of 11.5 billion CFA francs (18%), while the management of consular affairs and the promotion of Senegalese citizens abroad will share 2.6 billion CFA francs, representing 4% of the overall budget.
The adoption of this budget is a key step in finalizing the 2026 Finance Bill, which will soon be submitted to the plenary session for review and final approval.
